Kindergarten for us is a time for learning and a time for play. I absolutely love thematic teaching. It just makes it that much more fun. Any opportunity to slip in a theme, I go for it! I love reading and my kids love reading. Thematic learning just allows me to utilize as many wonderfully illustrated titles as possible!
This year our Kindergarten program will place an emphasis on phonics, printing, and math. Here are our picks for this year!
Daily Calendar Notebooks – This incorporates the hijri (lunar) calendar with our regular Gregorian calendar. For many years I focused on interactive calendars that only focused on the Gregorian calendar; however, to me it is just as important to learn the hijri calendar so I spent a great deal of time creating one we can use.
