Welcome to Little Homeschoolers on the Prairie! I am Tasha, a revert to Islam Alhamdullilah. I started Little Homeschoolers on the Prairie in 2018 as a way to share what I enjoy most – homeschooling and creating homeschool resources in a space that felt a bit limited – Islamic resources! I also wanted to join the homeschool support system that has evolved tremendously over the last several years – share our journey and learn from others!
As a former Elementary Teacher, I placed an emphasis in my teaching practice on specific concepts children are introduced to at an earlier age. However, I was rather disappointed when I sought to find resources that combined Islam with these concepts. There was next to nothing out there. That’s when I realized I would have to create my own material if I wanted my children to have a bit of both worlds. Shortly after, Little Homeschoolers on the Prairie evolved with the goal of sharing these resources with other families. I hope InshaAllah you find them as useful as we have.
